Abstract—Mid-stream urine of asymptomatic females was used for this study using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). This study screened a total of fifty seven (57) mid-stream urine samples using PCR. The urine samples were aseptically obtained from patients without symptoms of urinary tract infection (UTI); of the fifty (57) samples 30 (52.63%) were positive while 27 (47.37%) were negative. Hence this concluded that there is a high prevalence of Chlamydia trachomatis (about 60% of 70%) in asymptomatic females.
