Noise Level Study of Some Areas in Amravati Municipal Juridiction (Central India)

Abstract—The present study works on the basis of noise level of two sites, which are temples and hospitals. The temples and hospitals which are located in Amravati municipal jurisdiction (Central Inida) were studied for noise level. Noise level recorded during morning and evening was more than afternoon, both in hospitals as well as in temples. Noise level at temples and hospitals are above permissible limit. The gathered data was tabulated. After tabulation results were obtained. Maximum level of noise at Sai mandir during morning was recorded as 76.0 dB, during afternoon 85.0 dB and during evening it was 89.2 dB. At same hours in Ekviradevi temple it was 78.3 dB, 81.2 dB and 87.0 dB. In case of hospitals at Irwin hospital maximum sound level during morning was recorded as 68.5dB, during afternoon it was 77.7dB and during evening it was 80.0 dB. At same hours at PDMC hospital it was 68.5dB, 77.7dB and 52.0 dB. At hospital sites noise level at Mashankar hospital is more (80 dB) as compared to that of PDMC and Irwin hospital. Minimum noise level at all hospital is above 45 dB.
