Abstract—Adverse drug reactions (ADRs) are a common phenomenon. About 3-7 % of all hospital admissions are due to ADRs and in many countries ADRs rank among the top 10 leading causes of mortality. Pharmacovigilance aims at reducing the occurrence of ADRs and ensures safe and rational use of medicines.
